After watching the Wendy Williams show, a friend and I visited a burger restaurant called 'brgr'. I'll let you make your own mind up on that one. While the burger was nice, I'd already been told about Shake Shack, another burger joint popular on the East Coast. The sweet lady sitting near to us, who seemed to be somewhat of a burger aficionado, excitedly told us about how much she liked Shake Shack, and from then on I knew I had to visit. It was busy and after waiting in line, I ordered the ShackBurger, crinkle fries and a rocky road concrete ice cream.
The burger was really good. Salty, tasty, cheesy and two patties cooked medium. I really, really enjoyed it (a lot more than brgr's offering).
The fries were good, but there were way too many for little old me. Great for two to share though!
The rocky road ice cream was the biggest disappointment. While it's name is concrete, I had anticipated that this was referring to concrete's solid form. Instead, it had already melted by the time I took this picture (about a minute after getting it, I suppose) so it was less rocky road and more lumpy mud. The fudge was good though.
The next time I went to Shake Shack I ordered a SmokeShack burger. It was really good. Two burgers with cheese, smoked applewood bacon, and cherry peppers (sour and spicy).
I'll be going back to Shake Shack!
Dan
